Indian statistics suggest an annual increase in road traffic accidents by 3.6% contributing to approximately 10.1% deaths very year.
The course is designed putting forward the content and skills required to assist medical professionals in providing the urgent emergency ”Golden hour “ care for injured trauma victims.

Learning outcomes
- Assess and manage a trauma victim’s condition in a rapid and accurate way by applying the concepts of initial assessment, secondary assessment and appropriate use of essential adjuncts.
- Identifying life threatening conditions through initial assessment and resuscitating.
- Ensuring that there is no deterioration in the optimal care provided to a patient during intra and inter hospital transfers

Curriculum
This is a blended learning course that includes an online module and a contact course. The online lectures are interactive and provide learners with a clear understanding of the basics of trauma care. The contact course allows learners to receive active, hands-on training from expert doctors in an array of skills needed to manage trauma victims. ASC maintains the optimal ratio of learners to trainers and a wide selection of simulation manikins. Every learner is provided with ample time and space to practise their skills and perfect their techniques.
