The Apollo Simulation Centre(ASC) is a medical simulation centre and is based out of the Apollo Hospitals, Vanagaram campus. This 8000 Sq.Ft. facility is a state of the art building with the latest simulation equipment spanning all the departments offering doctors, nurses and paramedical staff training. The centre has an array of sophisticated task trainers through which new skills can be learnt by medical practitioners in training, without causing harm to the patient. Simulation based training has been in existence for years in the western world enhancing the clinical skills of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. Experienced doctors and practicing physicians can hone and update their existing skills and add new advanced ones to their armamentarium.

Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Founder-Chairman of the Apollo Hospitals Group, is the visionary architect of modern Indian healthcare. He is best described as a compassionate humanitarian who dedicated his life to bringing world-class healthcare within the economic and geographic reach of millions.
In 1983, Dr. Reddy embarked on an extraordinary journey by establishing Apollo Hospitals, which not only revolutionized healthcare in India but also pioneered the private healthcare industry in India. The Apollo model of care inspired many, and at present, over 300 other large, high-quality hospitals have elevated the quality of care in India, making it available at a tenth of the international cost and changing the way people in the country live and access healthcare.

The Government of India mandates simulation based training in all undergraduate programs. It is only prudent that post graduate and super speciality doctors have a preemptive knowledge of difficult clinical situations before treating real patients.
The innovative ultrasound simulator enables learners to correlate the scanned image simultaneously with the internal anatomy for better proficiency. The sections of anatomy can be demonstrated in a three- dimensional view to enhance the understanding of learners. The simulator is also equipped with modules for ultrasound guided interventions.
The endo-laparoscopy simulators are equipped with up-to-date technology to help learners become confident and adept at hand-eye coordination and equipment dexterity. Basic and advanced procedures in laparoscopy, bronchoscopy, hysteroscopy and endoscopy can be learnt and updated using the high-tech instruments.
The vascular intervention simulator is the latest and the first of its kind in Asia, and has provision for training in intricate vascular abnormalities. Real patient images can be incorporated and training undertaken before a complex procedure is performed on the patient.
Task trainers that we use are lifelike anatomical models designed to enhance the procedural skill acquisition of healthcare learners. These specialized simulators allow students to repetitively practice techniques, such as surgical procedures, without the risk of harming actual patients. This method supports a safe learning environment where errors become valuable lessons. By focusing on specific skills, task trainers provide targeted practice that is crucial for building confidence and competence in medical procedures before real-life application
