Ultrasound Basics: Understand the fundamental principles of ultrasound technology
Knobology Proficiency: Gain skills in using ultrasound equipment effectively
Clinical Applications: Perform and interpret lung ultrasound, bedside echocardiography, and FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma)
Integration: Apply the RUSH (Rapid Ultrasound in Shock) protocol by combining lung USG, echo, and FAST findings
Diagnostic Skills: Quickly identify normal and abnormal findings for accurate diagnosis and intervention
Description
Point-of-Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) has become an essential diagnostic and interventional tool across various medical disciplines, thanks to advances in ultrasound technology. PoCUS provides immediate diagnostic information, reducing radiation exposure and healthcare costs. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to PoCUS, focusing on ultrasound basics, equipment handling, and clinical applications using ultrasound to make decisions during emergencies.
